Aimee Terrin was blessed with the ability to sing since she first uttered sound. Bordering on being a child prodigy she mesmerized audiences with her singing and performing as a classically trained pianist and vocalist at age six. Nurturing this gift, her parents and mentors exposed Aimee to a variety of music genres, allowing her talent to progress naturally. Various artists played a role in shaping Aimee’s early musical foundation such as Billy Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald and Duke Ellington then later came more modern influences such as Massive Attack, Radiohead, Mobb Deep and Wu Tang Clan. This range of influences helped develop her own unique style of ‘old-school’ soul and infectious R&B/hip-hop with a unique alternative edge. This collective sound is clearly evident in her writing and performing.
