Back in 2009 while on tour in Australia Steve Lott kept seeing the name "LITTLEWOLF" in his head. "LITTLEWOLF" was Johnny Shines’ nickname. Shines played rhythm guitar for the legendary Howlin’ Wolf. Shine made the bands sound bigger and better.
Shortly after his return from Australia "LITTLEWOLF" would become Steve Lott's newest project and next great musical venture. What a talented ensemble it's become...
Steve Lott is a principal singer, songwriter and guitarist in LITTLEWOLF. Lott has toured the world extensively and has already released two award-winning albums in Australia in 1999 & 2001. Currently, his compilation CD “Blues from Down Under” is #13 on the Living Blues Australian Radio Chart.
Bred in West Texas, Kristi Bess Clanton, the other principle singer/writer/guitarist in LITTLEWOLF, has been a singing star since childhood in Texas. She has blossomed into a great slide-steel guitarist and songwriter. At 21-years, she can handle anything from a traditional blues shout to a heartbreaking ballad. She is tough as overdue rent or smooth as 20-year-old bourbon…she can kill you with one note.
In 2010, a chance meeting between Steve Lott & Kristi Clanton sparked off what is now LITTLEWOLF, a unique, dynamic blues explosion.
